“What’s your dream?”
That question from Steve helped Andrea follow her love of hairdressing. She had always enjoyed helping people look and feel their best. With her family’s encouragement, she enrolled at Pivot Point Academy and graduated at the top of her class.
Passion became a place.
After working behind the chair, Andrea wanted to do more: teach, develop others, and create an environment where people could keep growing. In March 2000, Andrea and Steve opened Taylor Stevens Salon, named after their daughter Taylor and Steve himself.
Steve left his construction career to help build the business alongside Andrea. Their different strengths became the foundation of a shared dream.
Learning never ends.
Andrea’s commitment to education shaped the salon from the beginning. The team continues to grow through shared learning, technical practice, and the belief that thoughtful care matters as much as the finished look.
The next chapter is family.
After attending the Aveda Institute Chicago, Taylor joined the salon as a stylist and manager. Together, the family continues to support a team built on education, respect, loyalty, hard work, trust, and happiness.
